Keto Chow Mein

Shredded cabbage starts to look like chow mein when cooked in chorizo. Hence the name keto chow mein. The taste is amazing — savory and a little more crisp than traditional chow mein.

You can make this in 20 minutes or less.

This dish reminds me of some of the delicious and indulgent entrées I used to get from Chinese takeout places.

Recipe makes 4 servings.

Shopping Notes

Check the ingredients labels on the chorizo and make sure to get a wheat-free option. They’re lower carb and better for you.

I like to get angel hair cole slaw in a bag, but any bagged cole slaw should be fine.

Hope you enjoy it!

  1. Hi Are they any replacement for Red meat. I do not eat Beef or Pork. Can chicken or sea food be substituted?

  2. I’m a huge fan of your site and your low carb fast food guides- I consult every time I want to eat out somewhere! Love the recipes you’re adding too, thanks for creating this site!!!

  3. This looks SO good and sounds easy. I am adding cabbage to my grocery list for next week.

Where is the 6gm of sugar coming from? I’m assuming the chorizo or cabbage? I have different brands here in FL than you, so I am going to try to lower that.

    Thank You!

  4. I may have to try this. I looked chorizo up to see what was in it thinking it was like scrapple. Sounds like it’s just another name for sausage!
